St. Charles County Chapter of the Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association Food Pantry  Information

The Food Bank pantry is coordinated by Sherri Lesch.  Sherri can be reached at (636) 288-2847 or SLesch@sccfosteradopt.org.   If you are a foster/adopted family, a member of MFCAA and a resident of St. Charles County you are welcome to attend.   

Food Bank

Location:  2120 Parkway Drive, St. Charles, MO 63301

               (Inside Crosswinds Church – map below) 

Pick Up Times: Fridays from 3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 

Each Friday we pick up food from St. Louis Area Food Bank.  Volunteers sort and distribute each week on the same day, Friday.  We sort the food into laundry baskets.  This makes it easy and less time consuming during pick up times.  The laundry baskets remain at the food pantry.  Each family is responsible for bringing bags to take their food home.

Family boxes contain all of the "purchased" items for that week.  The boxes may contain items such as laundry detergent, shampoo, air fresheners, salad items, cereal, and much more.  Each family will have the option of purchasing a box for a flat fee.  Each week the cost of the box will vary, as well as the items. The average cost is $5.00-$11.00! 

Purchases will need to be paid for each week.  Checks preferred, made payable to MFCAA, but cash will also be accepted.  Due to safety and security reasons, we do not keep change on hand.  If you do not have exact change, the amount will be rounded up and only dollars will be given as change.  

There is always room for volunteers and many opportunities to help.  If you would like to volunteer, we sort the food on Fridays between 10:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each week.  If you volunteer on Friday, for at least one hour, you will be able to take your food with you in lieu of having to come back during the distribution times.  If interested, please contact Sherri Lesch at (636) 980-9669 home or (636) 288-2847 cell.  

 
 

**Important News:  With summer camps, vacations, etc. it is important to contact Sherri each week to advise if you will be picking up from the pantry.  This helps in determining how many baskets are needed.   You can advise Sherri one of three ways:   

  1. Check the “next week” box on the sign in sheet when you pick up your food.
  2. Call Sherri at 636-288-2847 by Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
  3. E-mail Sherri at SLesch@sccfosteradopt.org
    If there are extra boxes, they will be sold throughout the day, in lieu of waiting until after 6 p.m.  This way more people will have the opportunity to purchase an extra box if they would like.   

If Sherri does not hear from you each week, we CAN NOT guarantee there will be a box for you.

Take Highway 70 East

Take the Cave Springs Exit, (Exit 225)

Turn left onto Cave Springs Road (.2 miles)

Turn left onto West Clay St. (West Clay St. becomes the North Service Road)  (.2 miles)

Turn right onto Parkway Drive (.1 mile)

End at 2120 Parkway Drive (pantry is located around the back of the building)

 

From the EAST: 

Take Highway 70 West
